The Bible has a lot to say about praise and worship. The purpose of praise and worship—as it relates to singing and praying—is to create an intimate space between you and the Lord, allowing God to speak directly to your heart in such a way you are drawn nearer to Him. As a result, God is glorified, and you go deeper into your identity in Him. 

 

Worship is when we give our deepest affections and highest praise to God. True worship is when we love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. It’s when we prize God above everything else and put God first in our hearts.
