Pastor Molly Hayes brought a wide variety of ministry backgrounds to the Church of the Good Shepherd such as her experience as a large church associate and a pediatric hospital chaplain. Molly’s ministry is helping people experience the love of Jesus Christ so all can work to transform the world around us. Molly has a heart for mission and outreach. She serves as the Central Texas Conference Secretary for Global Ministries, helping local churches connect with the missionaries and ministries around the globe. Pastor Molly also is a co-founder of Water to Life, a non-profit that provides access to clean water as a way of inviting people to the transformational power of Christ’s love in their life.
Rev. Molly Hayes grew up in Fort Worth, TX as a lifelong United Methodist. She studied Social Work at the University of Oklahoma. She received her Master’s of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology with an emphasis in Global and Community Engagement.
Molly is married to Rev. Chris Hayes who serves as lead pastor at First United Methodist Church in Arlington. Aside from juggling two churches, the two spend their time with their family of three boys Ben, Aaron, and Reid as well as her baby Elliot born in 2018. Some of their favorite past times include: their two dogs Sophie and Sammie, traveling, grilling out, and family game nights.
